BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Pacific Gas & Electric crews worked to cap a gas dig in Southwest Bakersfield on Wednesday morning.
Officials said that in this case, a third-party contractor hit a gas line near Home Depot causing it to spew gas.
Crews were called to the area of District Boulevard and Gosford Road just before 8 a.m.
The roads were clear and the gas dig was capped by 8:45 a.m., according to officials.
