BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Marketplace and California State University Bakersfield police are cracking down on students parking at the shopping center.

CSUB Police Chief Marty Williamson saying he was informed by The Marketplace. He said any unauthorized vehicles parked on their parking lots across Camino Media from the school may be towed by a business owner. According to Williamson signs are already posted with the information.

Parking on the CSUB campus is reportedly pushing maximum capacity so Williamson urges drivers to use alternate means of transportation.

However, if you do elect to drive arrive with plenty of time so that you can find a parking spot. Anyone who parks on campus must have a valid parking permit to avoid getting a citation.
