Today on the 16th anniversary of the Gilmore girls original air date and in honor of the show's return to Netflix, fans celebrated by having a cup of Joe at Luke's diner right here in Kern County.

More than 200 coffeehouses around the country participated with two locations right here in Bakersfield transforming into the ‘Gilmore Girls’ diner.

Pappy’s in Rosedale and  Caffeine Supreme downtown, both turned into Luke’s this morning with hundreds of fans coming out to grab a coffee.
