BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Panama-Buena Vista School District is under a ransomware attack, causing a technology and phone outage at schools. That's according to a message sent to parents and staff from the district superintendent, Kevin Silberberg.

According to the message, District IT staff is working to resolve the issue. This will not affect dismissal times or other logistical issues, but this will affect phone calls and parent's ability to visit the district website, email teachers through PBVUSD.net or check students grades.
