Aaran Porter, the former West High School student-athlete who was stabbed earlier this month, has died, according to officials in Pennsylvania.
The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office in Pennsylvania issued a press release Thursday morning saying 19-year-old Isaiah Starns was arrested in Coraopolis, Pa.
Starns is one of five people suspected in the Feb. 2 stabbing of Porter. Marcus Harris, 34, and Jeremiah Langston, 24, were previously arrested by Bakersfield Police.
ACSO stated Porter died Thursday morning, but Bakersfield Police have not confirmed that to 23ABC News.
According to ACSO, after authorities looked for Starns in California, they believed he might have left for Pennsylvania. His father lives in Western Pennsylvania. Deputies went to the home of Starns' dad and were able to find him there.
He's now being held in Allegheny County Jail where he's awaiting extradition.
Bakersfield Police had previously identified Langston, 21-year-old Donnie Nolen, 21-year-old Armani Bonner, Starns, and Harris as being involved in a fight with Porter. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for the five for attempted murder, conspiracy, and gang participation.
Bonner and Nolen remain outstanding.
