The family of Francisco Serna, the elderly man who was shot and killed by Bakersfield Police while carrying a crucifix, as well as advocates around the community are coming together tomorrow, Thursday November 30, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. for a national press conference.
The press conference is scheduled to happen before a vigil being held on Saturday which will be held to highlight the number of deaths caused by Kern County police.
Since 2013, 65% of people shot and killed by Bakersfield Police are Latinos, according to a report released by the ACLU earlier this month.
