On Monday, Kern County's Environmental Health Hazmat responded to a reported sodium hydroxide spill off Tulare Avenue, North of Poplar.

Officials say when they arrived on the scene they found a five gallon container of 50% sodium hydroxide solution. The container was said to have fallen but officials say there was no leakage.

Kern County Environmental Health told 23ABC that the container will be safely removed.
