BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — RegisteredNursing.org has recently named California State University, Bakersfield’s Nursing Department as no. 3 in Online Registered Nursing to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programs in California.
“We are pleased to have our program recognized by RegisteredNursing.org. Our local nursing community is made up of compassionate, highly competent professional nurses who represent all educational levels and career stages,” said Deborah Boschini, chair, department of nursing.
The ranking is based on data from various online nursing programs.

The Rn to BSN program is a post-license program for students wanting to obtain degrees in BSN and ADN.
Prospective students are accepted each fall semester.
“Our RN-to-BSN program enables working nurses to continue their education and develop their skills, and we are proud of the program’s contribution to the region’s 21st-century health care workforce. This recognition is well-deserved,” said Kathleen Madden, dean for the School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering (NSME).
