Bakersfield Police arrested 20 people as a result of serving nearly a dozen search warrants on pot shops this week.

A total of 10 search warrants were served at local marijuana dispensaries within the city of Bakersfield on Monday and Tuesday.

Police said all of the locations that were searched had been previously made aware of their illegal status by the City Attorney's Office.

However, the businesses refused to stop their activity.

Officers also seized a large amount of marijuana, 15 grams of rock cocaine, 4 firearms and more than $20,000.
