The Ridgecrest area continues to shake Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after a magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit the region.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a magnitude 5.5 quake was reported just outside the Searles Valley at around 6:30 Wednesday night.
Since that quake, the USGS has reported 16 more aftershocks of at least a magnitude 2.5 in the Searles Valley and in nearby Trona and Coso Junction. They've ranged from 2.5 to 4.2.
No damage has been reported following the quakes.
