BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Tuesday night BPD officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of South H Street and Hendricks Lane that involved a motorcycle and a car.

When BPD arrived, the motorcyclist was found further down the road suffering major injuries, CPR was administered.

The motorcyclist, a man was taken to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, also a man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Alcohol/drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
