BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Jane Parrent, the mother of missing Baylee Despot, is now offering a reward for information on her daughter's location.
Parrent released a new video on social media Monday detailing the reward and her latest search efforts. Parrent said in the video that the cash reward comes out of her own pocket and is separate from the $16,000 dollar reward that Kern County Secret Witness is offering.
Despot is one of the so-called "Bakersfield 3," a trio of people who went missing or were killed within weeks of each other in 2018.
In May the District Attorney's Office charged despot and her former boyfriend, Matthew Queen, with the murder of Micah Holsonback, another member of the "Bakersfield 3" whose arm was recovered in the Kern River.
According to court documents, Despot has been missing since April of 2018, but was charged because there is "no known physical evidence that definitively confirms her possible death."
