A McFarland basketball coach has pled not guilty after being accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Fernando Pruneda is accused of promising a 15-year-old boy a spot on the varsity team in return for sexual favors. Pruneda was arrested for sexual misconduct with a minor and was charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor. The charges include contacting minor to commit sexual offense, lewd/lascivious act with child, and annoying or molesting a child under 18, according to court documents.
His pre-preliminary hearing has been set for December 6.
