BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — You may have noticed the water levels are low in Mill Creek. The city of Bakersfield says this is part of routine annual maintenance performed around this time of year.

It's expected to be temporary and water levels should be restored once the work is complete.

They say the levels should be back to normal by the first week of January.
