Thanks to the power of social media, a Bakersfield man was granted his dying wish.
Andy Gonczar wanted to ride in a 1949 Lincoln, a car he his dad bought him as a senior in high school.
His daughter-in-law, Amber Gonczar, posted to Facebook Thursday asking if anyone had the car and would be willing to give him one last ride.
After hundreds of shares online and just 48 hours, Don and Marsha McKinney contacted Gonczar stepped up and set up the ride for Andy.
Andy said the car had modifications that made it different than the car he drove, but to get back in the car was a neat experience .
