BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This weekend you have a chance to catch some fun events happening near you.
It's the 34-th Annual Bakersfield Home and Garden Show.
Organizers said if you have any landscaping projects in mind then this event will be for you.
The event is being held at the Kern County Fairgrounds. It runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Also If you are looking for a way to get active this morning with the family, Bike Bakersfield is hosting a community bike ride.
The ride will begin at 10 this morning and bikers will depart Bike Bakersfield located at 1708 Chester Avenue and travel all the way to Cloud 9 Coffee on Tower Way and California Avenue.
The ride is free for everyone who wants to join.
Today you will also have a chance to meet the makers behind eight local craft breweries in town during the Meet Your Brewer event.
Organizers said the event starts at six tonight and it offers a more intimate seating where you will have a chance to meet and chat with makers.
Organizers also said this is considered the pre-party to the annual Country Craft Beer Festival scheduled for April 4, 2020.
All proceeds from the event today will go towards local children charities.
