BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Monday Leslie Chance's attorney called Sarah Chance to testify. Sarah is the daughter of Todd and Leslie Chance. Today she told the jury she was very close with her father and called herself a daddy's girl.
Defense attorney Tony Lidgett asked Sarah questions about family vacations in the summer of 2013. She said her family visited the beach, San Francisco and Las Vegas. Lidgett also asked Sarah about her parents marriage. She testified she doesn't recall them having issues.
Sarah also viewed surveillance video and was asked if she believes anyone in the videos was her mom, she repeatedly said no. She said the body shape of the person in the videos was not her mother, and the feet were to small.
During cross examination, prosecutor Andrea Kholer asked Sarah if she thought it was odd that her and Leslie only visited Todd's grave site once together. Sarah said she didn't think so.
Court will resume tomorrow at 9 a.m.
