Law enforcement, community pay tribute to fallen Kern County Sheriff's deputy

Law enforcement and members of the community paid tribute to a fallen sheriff's deputy who passed away just last week due to unknown medical conditions.

Dozens of people, deputies, and Kern County fire went to Deputy Martin Rodriguez's home to honor his memory and his family on his daughter's 15th birthday.

According to the KCSO Deputy Rodriguez suffered from an unknown medical condition at home and was taken to Tehachapi Hospital where he later died. He was 43-years-old.

Deputy Rodriguez was hired as a deputy sheriff on January 17th and his most recent assignment was to the sheriff's office transportation unit.

Details on funeral services are still pending.
