Kern Regional Center committee members came together Wednesday to celebrate 50 years of the Lanterman Act.
The act, written into law in 1966, establishes a resource center for people living with disabilities.
Assembly member Rudy Salas attended the 50th anniversary celebration at the DoubleTree hotel.
The state’s network of regional centers serves nearly 300,000 people across California.
