Event organizers announced this year's Virtual Run/Walk raised $26,880 to help Kern County patients while on their cancer journey.
Michelle Avila, Executive Director of the Kern County Cancer Foundation states, "I am proud to be a part of a community that came together to provide hope and support to our neighbors undergoing cancer treatment. Because of the sacrifice of many, dozens of patients will not have the added stress of medical bills related to their cancer care. Children will continue to receive the transportation they need to their life-saving cancer treatment."
The Kern County Cancer Foundation continues to accept donations throughout the year. All proceeds and tax-deductible donations stay in Kern County providing critical financial assistance for local, qualified patients with co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles for cancer treatments.
