KERN COUNTY, Calif. — The County Administrative Office is proposing an agreement with the Tejon Indian Tribe that could bring almost $200 million to the county over the next 20 years.
The proposal has to do with the planned Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Project on the Tejon Property that was announced earlier this year.
The agreement would have the Tejon Tribe to pay the county for law enforcement, fire protection, and emergency services on the property.
Back in early June, a press release said the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon will be developed on a portion of a 306-acre parcel of land, located approximately 25 minutes south of Bakersfield, off Highway 99 near the 166 Mettler exit.
The proposal is expected to be made on Tuesday July 23.
