Kern County Sheriff's deputy catches suspect, finds stolen gun and more

On September 25, 2017 a Kern County Sheriff's Office deputy was on patrol in Rosamund when he making contact with a suspect. The suspect was near the Chevron located on 25th St. West and Rosamund Boulevard. 

The deputy came in contact with that suspect, who was identified as 24-year-old Raul Garcia from Mojave, who proceeded to run from the deputy.

While running, Garcia tried to hide from the deputy, but the lone deputy was joined by other deputies and together they took Garcia into custody.

Deputies were later able to recover a gun that Garcia had hid when he was hiding and running. 

Garcia was booked into the Mojave jail for burglary, parole violation, possession of a loaded firearm, resisting arrest, among other charges.
