FRAZIER PARK, Calif. — Kern County Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Chaparral St. in Frazier Park.

According to Kern County Fire Department Public Information Officer Andrew Freeborn, in addition to KCFD, crews from the Bakersfield Fire Department, and LA County assisted in battling the fire. Forest Service crews also were on the scene because of concern that the fire could spread to wildlands. However, this was not the case and those crews eventually pulled back.

Freeborn said that someone had been transported from the scene by Hall Ambulance, but he could not verify who it was or why they were being taken to the hospital.

Two buildings were involved in the fire and a total of four people were displaced. The Red Cross is assisting those individuals, which included two adults and two minors.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
