KERN COUNTY, Calif. — You've seen the commercials and maybe already have your tickets. We are just two days away from opening day at the Kern County Fair!
It officially kicks off at 3 p.m. on Wednesday! Big plans are set for opening day including a special performance by Nelly Wednesday evening. The fair is open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m.
On Friday the fair opens at 10:30 a.m. for Senior Day! Anyone 62 years or older will get in and park for free until 4 p.m.
And make sure to tune in on Wednesday morning because 23ABC will be out at the fair for our morning newscast.
And if you still haven't gotten your tickets, you still have a chance to get them by donating to Houchin Blood Bank.
This is the last few days of the Pint for a Pass event. If you donate a pint of blood you can get a free adult pass to the fair!
You can give blood at their donor centers located at 5901 Truxtun Avenue and 11515 Bolthouse Drive or you can donate at one of their mobile drives. The donor centers are open until 6 p.m. Monday night and open again Tuesday at 9 a.m.
