BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Arrive at the first day of school in style with a backpack provided by the Kern County Department of Child Support Services and Kern Schools.
Today, school-age kids that are present will receive free backpacks stuffed with school supplies, while supplies last at the Ready-Set Back 2 School Health & Wellness Fair.
This is the 10th annual back-to-school community fair, and the event will also feature about 60 different community sponsors.
The event will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds, and starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon.
