BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern is one of the few counties in the state that added more polling places.
Some polling places are in new areas and will look a little different this year because of COVID-19.
The board of supervisors reminds people to check their ballots for the proper location.
New this year, all Californians were mailed a ballot.
If you want to vote in person, you will have to turn over your mail-in ballot.
Then you will receive a provisional ballot.
Provisional ballots are typically counted last on election night because officials need to confirm that the voter did not also vote by mail.
The county says while it is prepared for the upcoming election, it is still in need of poll workers.
Anyone who wants to serve as a poll worker can head over to kern vote dot com to register.
