Norman Brown, a local author who didn't learn to read until the age of 47, will be speaking at the Beale Memorial Library on Wed, April 26.
Brown's speech aims to inspire people and teach them about a man who overcame the odds to achieve better things.
The event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 5 p.m.
