BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is making efforts to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community. It's called the Sheriff's Community Advisory Council.
Members of the new KCSO Community Council joined 23ABC to discuss the important work they plan on doing in the community.
KCSO is partnering with the MLKcommUNITY Initiative for this committee.
According to a statement from the KCSO, the council "will help bring the community’s concerns to the table and strengthen relationships between local law enforcement and the communities they serve."
