KCFD to host mandatory meetings for Hazard Reduction & Weed Abatement Contractor List interest

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This month the Kern County Fire Department will host mandatory meetings throughout the area for people interested in being included on the Hazard Reduction & Weed Abatement Contractor List.

The list is a public information service for property owners desiring to hire a contractor to perform mandatory Hazard Reduction & Weed Abatement clearance on their property.

Since KCFD updates and publishes the list every year, people who want to remain on the current list or be added to the list MUST attend one of the scheduled mandatory meetings.

Below are the dates and locations:

  • Monday, April 15th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Classroom of Camp 8, 20569 Eumatilla St, Tehachapi, CA 93561
  • Tuesday, April 16th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Frazier Park Library, 3732 Park Dr, Frazier Park, CA 93225
  • Monday, April 22nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Vets Rooms 1& 2 of the Kern River Valley Senior Center, 6405 Lake Isabella Blvd, Lake Isabella, CA 93240
  • Tuesday, April 23rd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Kern County Fire Department Headquarters Training Classroom C/D, 5642 Victor St, Bakersfield, CA 93308
