The Kern County Fire Department cleared a 20-acre grass fire north of Bakersfield that sparked Thursday evening near 5 Dogs Range.

KCFD tweeted the grass fire was reportedly 20 acres in size. It started just before 8 p.m. about 20 miles north of Bakersfield off Tule and Woody roads.
By the time the fire was clear KCFD said the acreage was down to just over 15 acres.
