BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kaiser Permanente Farmers Markets that were set to reopen Father's Day weekend have been delayed.

Earlier this week the Kaiser Permanente Farmers Market announced it was set to reopen its locations on Ming Avenue and Mall View Road.

However, in a Facebook post on Wednesday morning, they announced that due to "unforeseen circumstances" the markets would not be able to reopen.

The post read: "Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the reopening of our farmers markets (Market on the Hill in East Bakersfield & Haggin Oaks in West Bakersfield) will not be this weekend. Our apologies, just please know that we are doing everything we can to be back with our farmers market community."

A timeline for reopening was not provided.
