BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Independence High School Band and Color Guard are hoping to raise money for their programs while also helping you clear out your Christmas tree.
The IHS Band and Color Guard are offering to pick up and recycle your Christmas tree for a minimum donation of $10. IHS says all proceeds will go towards musical equipment, uniform cleaning, and instrument repairs.
Students will pick up trees from the curb of your home and take them to Bakersfield Green Waste Facility.
If you want to have your Christmas tree picked up and taken care of by the students, you can fill out the reservation form. Students will be picking up trees Saturday, December 29 and Saturday, January 5.
