Hundreds of families gathered this morning at the Blessings Corner Ministries 17th annual Back to School Fun Day as they prepared for their children's first day of school.
The church was giving away free clothes, shoes, and backpacks filled with supplies.
Dozens of local businesses were also donating their time and resources like the Bakersfield Police Department and Fire Department.
There was over a dozen of booths at today's event.
