BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The fifth annual Hotrods, Burgers and Beers event is happening Saturday to benefit Honor Flight Kern County.

Classic cars and trucks from 1973 and earlier will be lining up to support local veterans and raise money to send them to Washington D.C. to see memorials. Event host Jack Vetter said around 200 cars are expected to fill the parking lot at the 1933 Bar and Grill from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Food and drinks will be served too. You can get a breakfast burrito and coffee for $7 or, of course, a burger and beer for $10.

Vetter said the venue allows plenty of outdoor space, but face masks and social distancing are encouraged. There will also be a Veterans Honor Walk beginning at 11 a.m.
