BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A hit-and-run crash on Saturday night landed a motorcycle rider and his passenger in the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the hit-and-run collision happened at the intersection of Gosford Road and South Laurel Glen Boulevard at 10:30 p.m.
Police said they found the motorcycle rider suffering from moderate to major injuries and he was taken to a hospital where he's listed in critical condition.
The female passenger sustained moderate injuries.
Police said the passengers from the involved-vehicle fled on foot, but that person was later detained.
The driver of the suspect vehicle still remains at large.
Bpd said they believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
