A case of mistaken identity led to a school lockdown at College Heights Elementary.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the BPD was assisting the Kern County Sheriff's Office in the search for a suspect wanted on a felony warrant in the area. An employee at the school saw someone they did not recognized and contacted police.
An investigation resulted in a false alarm. At no time was the suspect on the school grounds.
It is unkown at this time if the suspect was apprehended.
