Kingston Healthcare Center fined nearly 6 figures for multiple violations pertaining to COVID-19 safety procedures

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — After issues with COVID outbreaks deaths earlier this year, one Bakersfield long-term care facility was hit with a nearly six-figure fine.

According to a California OSHA report, Kingston Healthcare Center in Southwest Bakersfield was fined more than $92,000 back in October for several violations including not implementing procedures requiring them to inform other employees of exposure to known infected individuals, and not providing protective equipment to employees.

Four of the fines were labeled as serious violations and were all more than $16,000.
