BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A local car dealership has announced it will provide a service, extended to all law enforcement agencies, to disinfect their vehicles for free.

Haddad Dodge Ram dealership will be providing an additional layer of protection in the form of an EPA-approved anti-microbial spray.

BioPledge AMP is an EPA-registered anti-microbial that prevents the future growth of microbes, fungi, algae and yeast, it helps to eliminate cross-contamination of bacteria and gives the treated surfaces maximum protection.

As the global pandemic continued, the dealership saw a need to help protect the city's first responders.

"This is merely our way of offering an extra layer of protection to the thousands of men and woman who dedicated their lives to protecting both our community and neighbors every day.” says John Haddad, Co-owner, Haddad Dodge Ram KIA.

The application will take 15 minutes to apply and dry and will provide a minimum of 30 days protection, according to BioPledge AMP.

Haddad Dodge Ram is also offering the same anti-microbial spray service to the general public via their mobile service unit or at their dealership for a reduced price.

The community can contact the Service Department at (661) 398-0264 for more information.

The dealership is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and located at 3000 Harris Road in Bakersfield.
