BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A group of 100 minors allegedly participated in stealing from various stores at the Valley Plaza Mall Saturday evening, officials say.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Valley Plaza Mall security called 9-1-1 to report the incident at about 4:15 p.m.

The large group separated into smaller groups before going into multiple stores, where some of the the group members stole merchandise before fleeing from the mall, according to BPD.

BPD did not confirm which stores the minors stole from or whether any arrests have been made.
