Caltrans said all southbound lanes on I-5 through the Grapevine have reopened. CHP is starting to escort traffic on northbound lanes on I-5.

Caltrans said all northbound lanes on I-5 at Lake Hughes Road and southbound lanes on I-5 at the Grapevine are currently closed. Officials said it is fully closed for an unknown duration.

The California Highway Patrol tweeted that crews are escorting southbound traffic through the Grapevine.
Caltrans added that Southbound I-5 is now open and CHP is escorting traffic over the pass.

Both directions of the I-5 over the Grapevine are shut down this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol - Fort Tejon.
The Grapevine is closed due to heavy snow. Take US-101 as an alternate route.
