A schoolyard brawl caught on cell phone video has Frontier High School parents concerned.
23ABC exclusively obtained cell video of a fight involving a Frontier High student and her service dog.
The violent lunchtime brawl broke out Wednesday during lunchtime. In the video you can see one girl repeatedly punching another while other students stood by and watched.
A source tells 23ABC that the girl repeatedly being struck in the head. Her service dog sat nearby.
It is unclear what led to the fight. It is also unknown whether either student sustained any injuries.
One Frontier High parent said “Frontier High needs protection for the children. Especially the kids that are being bullied because they have nowhere else to turn to."
But Alexa Hart, a sophomore at Frontier High, said that a lot of students fail to report bullying because they are afraid of the backlash they might receive. “If a student goes and reports it then that bully or other students will kind of start making fun of them for being a tattle tell," said Hart.
In a statement to 23ABC Frontier High's Principal, Vicky Johnson, said "We are incredibly disappointed in the student behavior displayed in the incident. This is not the type of behavior we expect from our students at Frontier nor is it the norm for students to resolve conflict in this way."
Frontier HS administration and law enforcement also tells 23ABC that they are currently investigating this incident and that they will pursue appropriate discipline at the conclusion of the investigation.
