On June 13, 2017, officers from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division concluded a long term narcotics investigation focusing in the Delano area.
Officers from the Sheriff’s Narcotics and Gang Units assisted by Homeland Security, Kern County Probation, Kern County Animal Control and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife executed four search warrants in the Delano area.
The warrants were the conclusion of a long-term investigation into the sales of narcotics in Kern County.
Officers executed search warrants in the 1200 Block of 22nd Street in Delano, CA, the 1800 Block of Main St. in Delano, CA as well as two additional rural locations just west of Delano.
Upon searching the locations officers located approximately two pounds of cocaine, one half pound of methamphetamine, two ounces of heroin, four illegally possessed firearms, narcotics paraphernalia, indicia of narcotics sales and in excess of $50,000 in U.S. Currency believed to be proceeds of narcotics sales.
Four subjects were arrested as a result of the search warrants. The arrested subjects include 28-year-old Delano resident Ernesto Zibray, 36-year-old Delano resident Mario Quevedo, 44-year-old Delano resident Jose Aguilar, and 48-year-old Delano resident Richard Aubrey.
Zibray, Quevedo and Aguilar were booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Central Receiving Facility on narcotics and weapons charges. Aubrey was cited on released at the scene for an outstanding warrant and narcotics charges.
