A fire at a commercial business structure was reported in Downtown Bakersfield near Espee Street and Panama Street around 6:45 p.m.

The Bakersfield Fire Department arrived to find the building fully in flames.

Nobody was inside and no one was injured.

Officials believe a nearby structure may have been a cabinet-making business.

Powerlines were affected in the area. No other structures were threatened, including the residential structures across the street.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
