Fire crews are starting to get a handle on a fire burning off Highway 58 near Keene.
The Hart Fire erupted late Thursday afternoon off Hart Flat Road. According to Kern County Fire officials, several small fires merged into one larger fire.
The blaze has been reduced to 100 acres, and is 85% percent contained.
#HartFire is now 85% contained. 75 Firefighters will continue mop up efforts today. Acreage reduced to 100 acres due to previous GPS error.
