BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A fatal deputy-involved shooting happened Wednesday evening, near the Nevada and California state line and the Kern County Sheriff's Office says it "may be" connected to a murder in Kern County.
According to ABC-7 in Los Angeles, the shooting involved sheriff's deputies from San Bernardino County.
The Nevada Highway Patrol shut down lanes on the 15 Freeway, near Primm, shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Details on what led to the shooting were not immediately known.
There were no reported injuries to deputies.
It is not clear how the two incidents may be connected.
