BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — HGTV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming to Bakersfield and John Balfanz Homes is hosting a pep rally for potential volunteers a the Fox Theater.

According to a press release "HGTV’s upcoming series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has selected a local family to feature on the show that helps change the lives of families and inspires remarkable community support."

John Balfanz Homes has agreed to be the primary builder during the show and is looking for volunteers to participate in the project. On Monday at 7 p.m. they will be holding a pep rally for people interested in volunteering.

John Balfanz Homes posted on their website that "the home that will be constructed next month is being meticulously designed by John Balfanz Homes and the design team from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Not only will the family receive a home that meets their wants and needs, measures are being taken to make sure their new house is environmentally sustainable."

People will also have the opportunity to meet the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team.
