BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Dustin's Diner is back in business this holiday season.
The Diner opened on December 14 and will run until Decemeber 23.
The Diner started in 1993 by Dustin and David Kilpatrick. They thought it would be fun to sell hot chocolate to families touring the neighborhood of Haggin Oaks.
Although, the Kilpatrick brothers have moved on and moved away from Bakersfield, the Haggin Oaks community decided to keep Dustin's Diner open for the holiday season.
All proceeds go to the Bakersfield Homeless Center.
Since opening 25 years ago, Dustin's Diner has raised over $250,000.
Dustin's Diner is located on 2301 Haggin Oaks Blvd. The Diner will open every evening at 6 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, it closes at 9 p.m. and from Sunday to Thursday, it closes at 8 p.m.
