The school bell rang at schools across the Delano Union School District this morning for the first day of school.

Each year the superintendent of the school district announces a theme for the school year, and this year's theme is "One Team, One Vision".

According to a message from Rosalina Rivera, Superintendent of the Delano Union School District, "The best leadership is collaborative in nature, where everyone's contributions are respected and valued," said Rivera. "It is through authentic and effective collaboration that we become One Team, and it is by prioritizing the needs of our students that we acquire One Vision."
