LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. (KERO) — UPDATE: Crews in the Kern River Valley are pushing back the original date to have the French Fire contained from early next week to late next week.
The French Fire has been burning for more than two weeks, having covered nearly 26,000 acres.
Crews have the blaze 43 percent contained as some evacuation warnings in the area have been lifted.
Crews are estimating full containment of the blaze by Saturday.
