BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The CHP Explorers in Bakersfield brought home gold after competing at the CHP Academy this past weekend.
After months of training and preparation the group took their talents to the academy on April 27th and 28th and competed against other posts for trophies.
The Bakersfield CHP Explorer Post placed first overall after winning the Commissioner’s Cup for best Explorer Post. The group also snagged first place in active shooter scenario, vehicle search scenario and obstacle course. Other accomplishments include second place in traffic stop scenario, and third place court testimony.
The Bakersfield Explorer Post is made up of eleven young men and women with a mission to develop into responsible and productive citizens through discipline and a commitment to serve their communities.
